Come join us for our next SMCNWA Tweetup. Starting at 6PM we will meet at Louie’s in Fayetteville for dinner. Afterwards, at 6:30 PM we’ll share one or two tips on how to manage the various social media networks and services that we’re all involved in most efficiently. On January 12th, 2010, three of the largest social media/marketing/PR groups in Northwest Arkansas came together to share information and make new friends. These three groups are the Social Media Club of Northwest Arkansas, Network Community of Northwest Arkansas and The MACC Initiative.

During this event, money was raised for Breast Cancer and Diabetes awareness and research assistance.

One of the goals of the website is to educate new members of SMCNWA about all the aspects of social media.  We have started a couple pages (as seen on the tabs up top) that house a basic presentation about social media and a few recommendations.

That is a great start, but we want to expand on this base of information to a level that we feel is good enough to fully educate new members about the space.  If you have any links, blogs, books, podcasts or anything else that you might recommend when it comes to learning about social media, please email me at kyle.judkins@lostintechnology.com.

Welcome to the new Social Media Club, Northwest Arkansas website.  Due to confusion over where updates would be posted, where to check for new events, and what, generally speaking, is going on.  We’ve decided to centralize our efforts to this site and our Facebook page, located at http://www.facebook.com/SMCNWA.
